The role is necessary to carry out clinical reviews and provide case managers with advice in relation to complaints and enquiries in connection with PIP referrals. Complaints and enquiries can come from customers, representatives (including welfare rights groups & MPs), as well as DWP. Part of the role is also to provide outcomes and feedback on all complaints about healthcare professionals that is used as part of professional development and improvement in addition to being utilized to make overall business improvements.

Responsibilities:

  • Carry out clinical reviews for PIP referrals.
  • Advise case managers on complaints and enquiries.
  • Handle complaints and enquiries from customers, representatives, and DWP.
  • Provide outcomes and feedback on complaints about healthcare professionals for professional development and business improvement.
  • Implement and support the Nurse Functional Assessor duties, assessing complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders.
  • Deliver tailored training programme support and ongoing mentorship.

Requirements:

  • Valid NMC registration number.
  • At least 1 year of broad post‑registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHS.
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship).
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
