Overview
The Specialist Health & Wellbeing Coach role is based in Birmingham and is hybrid. The office location requires you to drive and have your own transport. The organisation supports Adults, Families, anyone with a physical or learning disability or visual impairment. Experience working with children/young people is ideal. The role includes working at least 2 evenings a week with latest deliveries until approximately 19:30.

Responsibilities
- Provide individually tailored diet, nutrition, and behaviour change advice to service users / participants (adults, children, young people, and families) to manage weight and improve health and wellbeing.
- Deliver evidence-based dietary and behaviour change services via one-to-one and group formats; ensure operational safety of weight management group programmes.
- Support caseloads to implement experiments, track behaviours, utilise tech-enabled support, optimise resources, and collaborate with the team.
- Deliver medium and high-need nutritional and behaviour change services to empower participants to achieve self-identified health goals.
- Deliver virtual or face-to-face health coaching group sessions in the community as needed (e.g., recruitment, triage, assessment, agenda setting, lifestyle change).
- Engage in outreach community engagement work (screening services, events, external meetings, roadshows, pop-ups).
- Work to quality standards and guidance; escalate or signpost when a case is beyond current competencies.
- Report and chart data in line with contractual and case management system requirements to manage caseloads efficiently and at scale.
Note: The Specialist Health & Wellbeing Coach is expected to carry out other duties as may be reasonably required.
Salary
Non-London £25,700 – £28,800
Essential Qualifications & Experience
- AFN registered degree in Nutrition or HCPC registered degree in dietetics with portfolio evidence of CPD
- Experience delivering group-based behaviour change interventions to children, families or adults; experience supporting vulnerable individuals through change
- Experience managing a caseload using a Case Management System
- Experience in lesson planning and nutritional/weight management content creation
- Experience handling data with accuracy, meeting targets and deadlines
- Continual professional development to deliver up-to-date health coaching
- Experience in health, community, or social care settings or understanding of maintaining a healthy lifestyle
Desirable: health coaching qualification or accredited health coaching skills programme; direct health coaching delivery; experience with specific lifestyle change interventions; experience with long-term health conditions; community-based work; caseload management; supporting people with additional needs.
