We’re looking for a registered nurse, nurse practitioner or registered mental health nurse seeking professional growth, flexible working and better work‑life balance.
As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You’ll work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders. The role is both challenging and rewarding, and we provide a tailored training programme to help you thrive.
Duties and responsibilities:- Conduct telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
- Produce Personal Independence Payment (PIP) reports to help the Department for Work and Pension (DWP) determine a person’s eligibility for benefits.
- Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with the support of regular feedback and supervision.
- Valid NMC registration number.
- At least 1 year of broad post‑registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHS.
- You must have the right to work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorships.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
- £36,000 salary.
