As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus, you'll use your clinical expertise to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You'll work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders, while your compassion and experience helps customers move forward with their lives. The role can be both challenging and rewarding, which is why we offer a tailored training programme to help you thrive. You'll begin with 6 weeks of training before assessing customers and have ongoing support and mentorship in your role with us.
Duties And Responsibilities- Conduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life.
- Produce Personal Independent Payment (PIP) reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person's eligibility for benefits.
- Develop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with the support of regular feedback and supervision.
- Valid NMC registration number.
- At least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHS.
- You MUST have the right to work in the UK – we cannot offer sponsorships.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
- £37,800 salary.
- Flexible working – full time, part time and hybrid.
