Role Overview
As a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus, you will use clinical expertise to assess how a person's disability or health condition affects daily life, working on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders. You will provide clinical reviews, advise case managers on complaints and enquiries related to PIP referrals, and deliver outcomes and feedback on complaints about healthcare professionals to support professional development and business improvements.
Responsibilities
- Carry out clinical reviews for PIP referrals.
- Provide advice to case managers regarding complaints and enquiries (including from customers, representatives, and DWP).
- Provide outcomes and feedback on complaints about healthcare professionals to support professional development and improve services.
- Assist in ensuring quality and compliance with professional standards.
Requirements
- Valid NMC registration number.
- At least 1 year of broad post‑registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside the NHS.
- Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Comfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports.
- Registered Nurse, Nurse Practitioner or Registered Mental Health Nurse.
