Role Summary

The Growth Director will lead divisional growth initiatives, planning and executing strategies to increase our customer base and drive business expansion.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver revenue, contract value targets, and pipeline requirements as agreed with leadership.
  • Understand market opportunities and develop the opportunity portfolio within the division.
  • Support and target the Business Development team to meet division goals.
  • Lead and motivate the team to understand and adopt strategic plans.
  • Build effective relationships with key stakeholders, fostering a collaborative 'one team' approach.
  • Assess Maximus capabilities against customer needs, identifying gaps and strategies to bridge them.
  • Contribute to strategic planning as a senior team member.
  • Develop business development strategies aligned with UK and division goals for profitable growth.
  • Work with marketing and solutions teams to tailor propositions for different accounts and opportunities.
  • Use market intelligence and commercial skills to develop compelling customer proposals.
  • Ensure robust capture plans for all qualified deals and manage resources effectively.
  • Lead strategic deals and resource allocation, developing a sustainable sales pipeline.
  • Maintain extensive relationships within the company, customer community, and industry to identify and qualify opportunities.
  • Evaluate competition and inform capture plans, pricing, and leadership decisions.
  • Refine business development processes through proactive team investment.

Salary and Benefits

Salary: £100,000 - £120,000
Bonus: Up to 50%

Qualifications & Experience

  • Proven experience in a growth-focused role with demonstrable business development success, including impactful wins of >£50m TCV.
  • Leadership experience managing multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong commercial, financial, and customer-focused expertise, especially within outsourced environments.
  • Excellent stakeholder relationship skills, including at board and C-suite levels.
  • Track record of delivering change in complex environments.

  • Strong analytical, influencing, and communication skills.
  • High performance, goal orientation, and pragmatic problem-solving abilities.
  • Financial acumen and strategic thinking with a hands-on approach.
