Requirements

  • To assess learner needs/skills through pre‑course assessments, develop an ILP with SMART goals to address barriers/skills needs.
  • Deliver outstanding, personalised, accredited/non‑accredited interventions with embedded personal/social development to help prepare learners for further learning, employment, improved confidence.

Job Responsibilities

  • Pre‑course assessments and planning: Administer screeners, initial and diagnostics assessments for each learner; develop and maintain tailored ILPs (inc. action plans) to include SMART targets.
  • Plan lessons effectively and ensure activities are innovative and differentiated towards individual learners, contextualised to their personal learning goals and chosen employment sector.
  • Train delivery: Deliver accredited and/or non‑accredited training programmes to 19+ adults in subject areas such as English, Maths, Digital, Customer Service, Business Administration, Hospitality, Warehousing & Logistics, Health and Social Care.
  • Train, assess, motivate, mentor and support learners to develop personal and social skills.
  • Deliver outstanding teaching, learning and assessment, ensuring curriculum provides appropriate stretch and challenge.
  • Develop resources and bespoke materials to meet the needs of learners and employers.
  • Promote and deliver training in accordance with qualification and centre guidelines.
  • Embed Maths, English, Digital, Soft Skills and PDBA themes (including safeguarding) into delivery.
  • Provide effective additional support to learners with additional learning needs (e.g. SEND, ESOL).
  • Support learners: Undertake regular and meaningful reviews with learners to ensure engagement and progress.
  • Record keeping: Maintain learner records accurately, both hard copy and electronically; ensure all evidence for visits is available for audit and quality purposes.
  • Caseload management: Use MIS data to track learner progress against ILP and KPIs; address trends via action plans.
  • Monitor learner attendance and progression; ensure all teaching, learning and assessment components are completed to meet qualification criteria.
  • Quality assurance: Contribute to development, implementation and monitoring of key documents, policies and procedures; implement improvements identified from performance reviews.
  • Participation in standardisation and team meetings; complete continuing professional development activities (e.g. observations of teaching and learning).
  • Professional development: Maintain own knowledge, skills and experience; formal training/networking with professionals.
  • Encourage, undertake and respond to learner and stakeholder feedback, contributing to training’s cycle of quality improvement.
  • Participate in staff review/performance management processes.

Travel Requirements

  • Willingness to travel and work across Bradford, Leeds & Huddersfield to meet contract requirements for delivery.
  • Full driving licence and vehicle ownership (Desirable).

  • Contract Length: 6 months Fixed Term
  • Working week: 30 hours per week
