In anticipation of Contract Award, we have possible opportunities to recruit a Health System Navigator within the Enfield, Waltham Forest, Newham, Barking, Redbridge, Havering, Greenwich & Bromley areas to start at the beginning of October 2026.

The Health System Navigator is a non‑clinical role that helps participants and delivery teams overcome health‑system, community, accessibility and environmental barriers that affect participation and progression towards work.

The role builds effective relationships with local health services, local authorities, VCSE organisations, social prescribing, disability, skills and community partners; facilitates warm connections; tracks access; and feeds local‑system intelligence into continuous improvement.

The Navigator does not clinically assess, diagnose, treat, prescribe, provide therapy or hold clinical risk.

Essential

• Experience working with adults experiencing complex health, social, disability, confidence or employment barriers.
• Experience navigating health, social care, local authority, VCSE, social prescribing or community support systems.
• Experience building partnerships and developing referral pathways with external agencies.
• Knowledge of long‑term conditions, fluctuating conditions, mental wellbeing barriers, neurodiversity, disability and health inequalities.
• Understanding of safeguarding, consent, confidentiality, information sharing and professional boundaries.

Desirable

• Experience as a social prescribing link worker, community connector, health navigator, care coordinator, employment specialist or partnership officer
• Experience of Restart, IPES, IPS, supported employment or integrated health and employment programmes
• Health or social care background in a non‑clinical navigation capacity.
• Level 2 Diploma in Employability Services Sector or equivalent.
• Partnership, community development, coaching or health and wellbeing qualification.
