About the roleAs a Nurse Functional Assessor at Maximus, you\βll use your clinical expertise to understand how a person\βs disability or health condition affects their daily life. You\βll work on complex cases involving physical and mental health conditions and chronic pain disorders, while your compassion and experience helps customers move forward with their lives.
The role can be both challenging and rewarding, which is why we provide a tailored training programme* to help you thrive. You\βll begin with formal training before assessing customers and have ongoing support and mentorship in your role with us.
Duties and responsibilitiesConduct telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person\βs disability or health condition affects their daily lifeProduce Personal Independence Payment (PIP) reports to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine a person\βs eligibility for benefitsDevelop your clinical knowledge and assessment skills with the support of regular feedback and supervision
RequirementsValid NMC registration numberAt least 1 year of broad post-registration adult or mental health experience gained within or outside of the NHSYou MUST have the right to work in the UK β we cannot offer sponsorshipsExcellent oral and written communication skillsComfortable using computer software to type and produce detailed reports
