Overview
Health and Wellbeing Coach role at Maximus UK. The role is a hybrid position, 3 days a week (18.75 hours) from Monday to Thursday, with at least 2 office days per week when delivering on site. You will need to drive and have your own transport to cover sites in Cranford, Hounslow, Feltham, Isleworth. Our office is based in Chiswick Town Hall, W4 4JN.

Responsibilities
- Provide personalised health and wellbeing coaching to individuals to empower them to take control of their health and wellbeing, focusing on lifestyle behaviour change, including but not limited to healthy eating, physical activity, and weight management.
- Facilitate individuals in establishing and attaining health-promoting goals, addressing lifestyle-related behaviours to reduce health risks, improve self-management of chronic conditions, and enhance quality of life.
- Deliver face-to-face, telephonic, and digital health coaching to diverse individuals and groups, using one-to-one and group formats as appropriate.
- Utilise multi-channel communications (in-app messaging, text, email) and share helpful resources aligned to goals, journey stage, confidence, and motivation.
- Encourage the use of behaviour tracking tools (online or offline) and appraise caseloads daily to ensure appropriate intensity and frequency of support for sustained behaviour change.
- Adopt a strength-based approach and maximise opportunities to utilise local community assets and the wider health and wellbeing economy.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant health coaching qualification or an accredited health coaching skills programme.
- Experience delivering direct health coaching and behaviour change interventions for lifestyle-related issues (e.g., smoking cessation, physical activity, NHS Health Checks, weight management, alcohol reduction).
- Experience supporting vulnerable individuals through a change process and caseload management, including use of a Case Management System and data entry with accuracy and timeliness.
- Evidence of continuous professional development and delivery of up-to-date health coaching with quality standards.
- Experience in health, community, or social care settings or understanding of issues around maintaining a healthy lifestyle.
- Desirable: membership of a professional body (ICF, EMCC, AoC, UKHCA); experience of managing or supervising individuals or teams; degree in a relevant subject (e.g., Psychology, Behavioural Science); experience of remote/telephonic/digital delivery; experience of working with individuals with long-term health conditions.
Salary & Employment Details
Salary range is £13,000 – £15,500. This is a full or part-time role based on the 18.75 hours per week schedule described above.
