We’re working with a fantastic, well-established SME to find a proactive HR Advisor who’s looking for a varied, hands-on role in a genuinely supportive and collaborative business. This is a true generalist HR position where you’ll partner closely with managers across the organisation, providing practical, down-to-earth HR support across the full employee lifecycle. You’ll play a key role in guiding and coaching managers, ensuring best practice, and confidently managing a wide range of employee relations matters.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Acting as a trusted advisor to managers on day-to-day HR matters
  • Managing employee relations cases end-to-end including:
    • Disciplinary
    • Grievance
    • Performance management
    • Absence management
  • Supporting and coaching managers to build confidence and capability
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law and HR best practice
  • Contributing to HR processes and helping improve ways of working
  • Supporting the full employee lifecycle from onboarding to exit
  • Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the business

  • Proven experience in a generalist HR role within an SME
  • Strong employee relations experience and confidence managing cases independently
  • Up-to-date knowledge of UK employment law
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach
  • Excellent stakeholder and relationship management skills
  • Organised, detail-oriented with strong process mindset
  • Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively
