We’re supporting a founder‑led real estate investment and development business in recruiting a maternity cover for their Head of People. They operate in a fast‑moving, entrepreneurial environment and the role offers the opportunity to guide and steady the People function working directly with the CEO and senior leadership team and playing a key role in maintaining momentum across HR operations and people‑related decisions. The role is hybrid based in their West End offices and will require 2-3 days in depending on if the role is full or part time.
What You’ll Do
- This is a senior, hands‑on and highly trusted standalone People role. Your focus will be on continuity, sound judgement and supporting leaders with confident, pragmatic HR guidance. Building relationships with the senior stakeholders will be a key part of the role.
- You’ll concentrate on:
- Acting as the primary People/HR lead for the group
- Providing high‑trust advice to the CEO and senior team on employee relations and risk‑based decisions
- Managing day‑to‑day HR operations, primarily UK‑focused with light EU coordination
- Overseeing payroll, benefits, policy upkeep and employment compliance
- Supporting ongoing performance, reward and people processes
- Managing and coordinating external partners including legal, payroll and local HR support
About You

- Has operated as a standalone or first‑in People lead
