Our client is a fast-growing tech and data business operating at the cutting edge of real-time insights. They're known for building smart, scalable products and as the business continues to expand, they're looking for an Interim Talent Acquisition Specialist to come in and take real ownership of hiring. This role will support the wider people team in attracting, engaging and retaining top talent, while supporting hiring managers to build out high-performing teams.

About the role

This is a hands-on, end-to-end recruitment role where you'll jump straight in and partner closely with hiring managers and leadership to deliver high-quality hiring across a range of roles. You'll be leading the internal recruitment from day one, improving candidate experience, and making sure roles are well-defined and aligned to the wider business needs.

Key responsibilities:

  • Own the full recruitment lifecycle – from role briefing through to offer and onboarding
  • Work with hiring managers to define roles, scope requirements and build strong hiring plans
  • Source and engage high-quality candidates across a range of channels
  • Build and execute hiring strategies to attract top talent in competitive markets
  • Enhance the employer brand in partnership with marketing
  • Deliver a great candidate experience at every stage of the process
  • Track and analyse recruitment metrics (e.g. time to hire, cost per hire) to drive improvements
  • Share insights on talent trends, skill gaps and hiring performance
  • Coach hiring managers on best practice and inclusive hiring approaches
  • Contribute to workforce planning and longer-term hiring strategy

About you

We're looking for someone who enjoys being in the thick of hiring; partnering with stakeholders, spotting great talent, and making things happen. You'll be confident, proactive and comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift. You also bring a data-driven approach and a genuine interest in building better hiring practices. As this is an interim role and you'll be supporting ongoing processes, we're ideally looking for someone who has a strong background in technical hiring.

What you'll bring:

  • Previous experience in recruitment or talent acquisition (around 3+ years)
  • Strong end-to-end hiring experience, ideally in a tech or data-driven environment
  • Confidence working with hiring managers to shape roles and hiring strategies
  • Solid sourcing skills and experience assessing candidates effectively
  • Familiarity with ATS platforms and recruitment tools
  • An interest in tech roles and understanding of technical profiles
  • Experience working in a startup or scale-up environment (or similar pace)
  • A proactive mindset with the confidence to take ownership and drive improvements
