My client is a growing and highly successful construction business and they are looking to appoint a Group Training & Development Manager to lead innovative learning initiatives across their organisation.

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and roll out a company-wide training strategy aligned with organisational goals.
  • Drive recruitment and development of apprentices and graduates through industry-leading schemes. These will be small cohorts, however you must have experience with the apprenticeship and graduate processes within a business.
  • Design engaging programmes covering onboarding, technical skills, leadership, and compliance.
  • Build strong relationships with internal teams, mentors, and external training providers.
  • Monitor progress, evaluate effectiveness, and continuously improve training initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in training and development, ideally within a technical or construction-related environment. If you do not have construction or similar businesses, you must be used to working with diverse and multi-sited workforces.
  • Experience creating and running apprentice and graduate programmes within a similar sector.
  • Ability to create impactful learning experiences and manage programmes end-to-end.
  • You will have experience working with external learning partners whilst also be confident delivering internal learning programmes.
  • You will be confident working with senior level stakeholders and will have partnered with them to build relevant training programmes.
  • Strong organisational skills, excellent communication, and a collaborative mindset.
  • CIPD qualification (or equivalent) desirable.
