I am delighted to recruit on behalf of a fantastic client in the financial services space for an HR Systems Specialist. Based in the heart of London, you will own configuration across multiple tools, reporting directly to the HR Systems Manager. This role sits within a central people analytics function, providing essential support to global HR teams through the ongoing management and optimisation of a large-scale HR information system. The position plays a crucial part in shaping system improvements, supporting data‑driven decision making, and ensuring the organisation gets maximum value from its HR technology.

This role will be working on Oracle across all modules, supporting upgrades, and translating business requirements into new functionality.

  • HR Systems & Technology
  • Ownership of Oracle HRIS across all modules.
  • Contribute to the enhancement and configuration of a cloud‑based HR platform, working closely with the systems lead to refine functionality.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and provide guidance to users across the business.
  • Participate in quarterly system updates and compliance‑driven patches, including regression testing activities.
  • Conduct user acceptance testing to validate new requirements and ensure changes meet agreed standards.
  • Support the introduction and integration of AI‑driven tools within the HR system.
  • Produce scheduled and ad‑hoc management information reports for global stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to shape training and change‑management approaches for HR and operational teams.
  • Create and deliver training content that strengthens self‑service capability and improves confidence in dashboards and reporting tools.
  • HR Data & Reporting
  • Assist in preparing people‑related insights for senior leadership, including board‑level reporting.
  • Use strong analytical skills to design dashboards, templates, metrics, and scorecards.
  • Interpret complex HR data and present findings clearly using appropriate analytical methods.
  • Respond to stakeholder requests by defining and producing accurate employee‑related reporting.
  • Handle one‑off reporting needs as they arise.

What You’ll Bring

  • Strong hands‑on experience with a major cloud HR system, including configuration and data‑loading tools.
  • Proficiency in advanced reporting tools and analytics within the HR technology ecosystem.
  • Ability to translate data into meaningful insights for senior audiences.
  • High‑level Excel capability, with additional experience in visualisation tools such as Power BI being advantageous.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across teams.
