What you’ll do

Freelance Document Intelligence Engineer (LlamaIndex) – Contract (UK/EU)

MaximAI.CX is hiring an expert freelancer to build a production-readydocument intelligenceworkflow.

The core challenge:reliable three-way matchingacrossQuotes, Purchase Orders and Delivery Notes, usingLlamaIndex (or similar) with robustfuzzy matchingtechniques and Python.

What you’ll do
  • Design and implement a LlamaIndex-based pipeline (or similar) to ingest, parse and normalise multi-format documents.
  • Build fuzzy/approximate matching logic (e.g., token/character similarity, thresholds, blocking, tie-break rules) to align items betweenQuote PO Delivery Noteat line level. (OCR + python + NLP + LLM)
  • Implementthree-way reconciliationwith clear exception handling, confidence scoring, and audit trails.
  • Integrate the workflow inton8n, or similar(triggers, queues, error handling) and expose results via API/webhook for downstream use.
  • Deploy onAzure(storage, security, monitoring); work natively within theMicrosoftecosystem.
  • Document the solution, tests and acceptance criteria for delivery-based sign-off.
Must-have experience
  • LlamaIndexin production (index design, node parsing, metadata, query engines).
  • Python(typing, tests, packaging) and practicalfuzzy matching(e.g., Levenshtein/Jaro/Jaccard, token sort/partial ratios), record linkage, and deduping at scale.
  • Buildingthree-way matchingor reconciliation engines for financial/ops documents (quotes/POs/invoices/delivery notes or similar).
  • n8nfor orchestration and integrations.
  • LLMsfor retrieval/structuring/extraction (prompting, evaluation, guardrails).
  • Azureservices andMicrosoftstack proficiency (security, storage, identity).
  • Data quality, observability, and GDPR-aware handling.
  • Advanced OCR
Nice to have
  • Experience with schema/ontology design for line-item matching.
  • Vector stores, chunking strategies, and evaluation frameworks for doc QA/extraction.
  • CI/CD for data/ML pipelines.

  • Start date:1 September 2025.
  • Contract / delivery-based engagement;payments tied to agreed milestones and success criteria.
  • Non-exclusive: you may work on other projects in parallel.
