A Quantity Surveyor with Cost Planning and Feasibility experience is required to join a specialist construction consultancy in Sheffield. You will ideally have building sector experience, and have an interest in working in Employers’ Agent roles and Project Management roles in the future. You will initially report into an Associate Director of the business who heads up the division. This is a great opportunity for a Quantity Surveyor with consultancy experience who wants to go into EA/PM type roles and potentially gain experience in construction disputes in the future. Projects will vary within the built environment, using both the NEC and JCT forms of contract.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cost Planning
  • Feasibility studies
  • Negotiation and contract formulation
  • Handling post tender qualification documents & procedures
  • Preparation of recommendations for award of contractor packages
  • Acting as an Employers Agent when required
  • Project Management duties when required

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience of new build or refurbishment projects
  • Cost Planning and/or Feasibility experience
  • Experience within a PQS environment

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Degree qualified
  • Member or on route to becoming a Member of the RICS is beneficial
