A fantastic Cost and Claims Consultancy are seeking a Senior Claims Consultant to join a growing team in their central London office. The ideal candidate will be a Quantity Surveyor by trade with proven Claims Experience, who is willing to specialise in the claims field long term for an established, well rounded UK consultancy. Previous claims experience is essential as you will be given exciting claims projects from the outset and be able to work fairly autonomously. As well as working in a high exposure role, you will have the support of a Partner of the business who has acted as an Expert Witness and has extensive claims experience in construction as well.

Responsibilities and DutiesThe role available is to work as a Senior Consultant within the business on claims & disputes in the construction market. A large amount of your time will be working on claims in various construction sectors, as well as analysing documents at an expert level and assessing any grounds for negligence or unreasonable pricings and reporting these findings. The majority of this work will relate to general construction claims, with a smaller portion of work relating to the Expert Witness field. During a year, you will likely be involved on multiple projects and the role will offer exposure to an exciting variety of projects.
Desired Skills and Experience- Construction Claims experience is essential
- Strong knowledge and understanding of typical Quantity Surveying duties including cost plans and variations is essential
- Experience of working on site for either a Consultancy or Contractor in construction is essential
- All sector experience is considered due to variety of works
- You should be within an easy commute of Central London
- Eager to work and specialise as a Claims professional in construction
- Qualified to degree level or similar equivalent is desired
- Membership to a professional body such as the RICS or similar equivalent is required
