The predicted salary is between 45000 - 75000 £ per year.

Procurement Consultant will be delivering best-in-class strategic procurement and contract advice, including end-to-end procurement services to some of the larger brands and on the most exciting programmes and projects. You will deliver services to public and private sector clients with a focus in central and local government, defence, infrastructure, power and utilities. Flexible remote working is supported on the basis that candidates understand that there will need to be regular weekly visits to the office for specific meetings and tasks.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Provide specialist procurement strategy advice to Public and Private sector clients.
  • Manage and collaborate with a team on end-to-end procurement services for major projects or programmes.
  • Support the development of procurement services.
  • Assist in business development and marketing of the department.
  • Support the delivery of team and business targets.
  • Contribute to bid preparation and proposal documentation, enhancing work-winning capability.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Experience leading/supporting projects in strategic procurement environments.
  • Experience in Defence, Utilities, Infrastructure sectors preferred.
  • Strong background in tender preparation and documentation development.
  • Experience in supplier engagement activities, from market engagement to contract award.
  • Knowledge of Public/Utilities Contract Regulations or similar.
  • Experience with standard contracts like NEC and JCT, including negotiation and award.
  • Ability to develop procurement strategies within projects or programmes.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Understanding of commercial principles and modelling.

Qualifications/Educational Requirements

  • Degree related to construction, civil engineering, quantity surveying, law, or procurement preferred.
  • MCIPS accreditation achieved or in progress/willing to pursue MCIPS.
