We are seeking an entry-level delay analyst to join a leading expert witness consultancy based in central London. This role is ideal for candidates with a couple of years of planning experience with a main contractor or consultancy who are interested in pursuing a career in the construction disputes sector, specialising in delay analysis. No prior experience in a claims or disputes role is necessary, however some exposure to delay analysis within your planning role would be advantageous. The successful candidate will gain exposure working on overseas disputes while based in London.
Responsibilities and Duties
- The gathering of relevant documents and data relating to the dispute
- Using planning software such as Primavera P6 to generate reports
- Inputting raw data on delay issues into Excel for easier analysis by the expert
- Analyzing the programme of works with a high level of scrutiny and spotting any irregularities and causes of negligence resulting in a delay
- Attending regular strategy meetings to discuss required data and documentation for delay analysis
Desired Skills and Experience
- Candidates must have a couple of years of experience in a Planning or similar role.
- Confident user of common planning software such as Primavera P6.
- Some experience of performing delay analysis within current or previous role would be advantageous, but not essential.
- Previous site-based experience with a good technical knowledge of projects.
- Highly analytical and methodical approach to work.
- A clear desire to work and progress within the expert witness sector.
