A Cost Consultant in Leicester is required to join a leading multi-disc. building consultancy. The role offers exposure to a wide range of exciting projects across sectors including education, industrial, residential, and retail, with project values ranging from £5m to £120m, and flagship schemes exceeding £500m.
This Quantity Surveyor position would suit someone with strong pre-contract and cost planning experience, capable of managing projects from early feasibility through tender documentation to post-contract delivery.
Located in a desirable office-space in central Leicester, this Cost Consultant role is ideal for candidates based in Leicestershire, Coventry, Derby, Nottingham, and Northampton.
You’ll be working on a portfolio of East Midlands and national construction projects covering both public and private sectors. The building projects are varied, complex, and high value, with opportunities to take ownership and lead cost management delivery from inception to completion. These projects include universities, schools, industrial, residential, retail, luxury housing, build-to-rent, and care homes.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Preparing cost plans, estimates, and feasibility studies
- Leading pre-contract stages including tender and project documentation
- Managing tendering processes and contractor negotiations
- Undertaking post-contract cost control and financial reporting
- Providing strategic cost advice to clients and design teams
- Supporting junior team members and contributing to team development
- Engaging confidently with clients and representing the consultancy professionally
