Site Manager position with a specialist water and wastewater subcontractor in Bedford. Join a friendly multi-cultural team of highly motivated individuals and grow your skills and shape your career towards technical expertise.
Site Manager should be prepared to travel to project sites across the UK, making a valid driving license a requirement for this role. Site Manager will be responsible for the day to day running of the project, generally involving remediation works or other groundworks. Responsibilities include health & safety, productivity, quality, and commercial output.
With support from the Project Lead and the project team, the Site Manager has control of site operations, programme, cost and resources. They are expected to successfully deliver a project within budget and programme, to a high standard of health and safety. Responsible for managing all personnel on their site, including sub-contractors.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Manage Site Health and Safety
- Supervising all works undertaken
- Organising labour and materials
- Lead Progress Meetings
- Assess the quality of work that the sub-contractors are delivering
- Assist the quality manager with all QA sign offs
- Dealing with any technical issues that may arise
- Making sure that safe working practices are always maintained to company procedures and industry standards
- Attending everyday meetings with the management and other trades
- Delivering toolbox talks and arranging inductions
- Manage the productivity and push the project towards completion
- Manage schedule of works
- Liaise with client, subcontractors and partners by having morning daily briefings and regular site meetings
- Compile Install, repair and maintenance programmes
- Assist and enable surveys
- Management of specialist sub-contractors
