Assistant Delay Analyst opportunity for an early career planner to move into with specialist claims and disputes division to work on some of the largest national and international projects currently in arbitration or litigation and be a part of an expanding and highly regarded team. The client is looking for an Assistant Delay Analyst to support leading delay experts involved in international arbitration and litigation. This client is seeking candidates who are dedicated to progressing their career in delay analysis work. Training and support can be provided to enhance and develop the candidates' delay and analysis skills.

Fantastic opportunity for early career construction professionals with degree level education in a construction related field with experience of using common planning software like Primavera and/or similar. Opportunity to work as an entry level Delay Analyst on some of the largest national and international projects in arbitration and litigation. As an entry level Delay Analyst you can join and be part of a highly experienced construction disputes team.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Delay analysis of construction works and projects
  • Providing support to delay experts in international arbitration and litigation
  • Undertaking Design documents review on varied project types like roads, bridges, railways, and tunnels
  • Producing chronologies and schedules
  • Providing thorough and accurate data extraction using planning software such as Primavera
  • Researching and understanding of document control and information sources on the projects
  • Working throughout the project life cycle by providing accurate quality checks and quality assurance
  • Support to assist with the overall project scope and individual work stream by drafting notes and external communications
  • Working closely with senior Delay Analyst and Delay Experts providing them with support to compile premium delay reports
  • Developing knowledge in the field by attending relevant industry seminars
Desired Skills and Experience
  • Suitable candidates will have around 2 years of work experience in the construction industry in a planning, engineering, or related professional construction job role
  • Able to use Ms Excel to an advanced level
  • Good understanding of Primavera, and other planning software packages would be an advantage
  • Candidates must have excellent analytical skills, and strong attention to detail
  • Candidates must be seriously motivated, energetic, pro-active, and professional to work in a specialist delay analysis environment
  • Strong communication skills both written and spoken are essential
Qualifications/Educational Requirements
  • Candidates should be degree qualified in construction related field such as civil engineering, project management, construction management, or related area
  • MSc in a relevant field would be an advantage, but is not essential
