A Lead Quantity Surveyor (Senior or Associate level) is required to take the commercial lead role for a small cost consultancy in Ascot, Berkshire. You will be a strategic thinker that is also happy to be hands on, whilst being responsible for Cost Management procedures within the company. You will be client facing, managing a team of staff on projects mainly between £5m and £40m, but also up to £110m in some current cases. Projects are predominantly in the care homes and residential sectors, and they also work on university projects in London and elsewhere.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Acting in the Lead Commercial role reporting into the Managing Director of the business
- Managing a team of Quantity Surveying staff
- Act in a client facing role, retaining and winning work
- Be responsible for the upholding of Cost Management procedures
- Be able to act in a hands on role (Cost Planning, feasibility studies etc) as well as a management and client facing role
- Think strategically for the commercial performance and future growth of the business
Desired Skills and Experience
- Degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying or similar is desired
- Chartership is not essential for this role, however beneficial if attained
