Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Care Manager to join our team in providing exceptional care within our thriving organisation. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in overseeing daily operations, ensuring that our service users receive the highest standard of care. Duties

  • Assist the Registered Manager in the overall management of the business, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and best practices.
  • Supervise and support staff in delivering high-quality care to clients, fostering a positive and collaborative working environment.
  • Develop, implement, and review personalised care plans for clients, ensuring their individual needs are met effectively.
  • Conduct regular assessments of clients’ health and wellbeing, adjusting care plans as necessary to promote optimal outcomes.
  • Facilitate training and development opportunities for staff to enhance their skills in senior care, dementia care, and assisted living practices.
  • Maintain accurate records of care and staff performance, ensuring confidentiality and adherence to data protection regulations.
  • Engage with families and external agencies to ensure a holistic approach to client care and support.

Skills

  • Proven experience as a senior Care Coordinator or Deputy Care Manager
  • Strong knowledge of dementia care principles and best practices is highly desirable.
  • Excellent supervisory skills with the ability to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a compassionate approach to interacting with clients and their families.
  • Ability to develop comprehensive care plans tailored to individuals needs.
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in maintaining records and documentation.
