The successful candidate will work across a diverse portfolio of construction and infrastructure projects with both contractor and client-side organisations. The consultancy works on projects including rail, airports, roads, highways, residential, commercial, education, healthcare and more.

The role includes:

  • Providing high-quality quantity surveying services to clients
  • Leading commercial activities on projects and taking ownership of project delivery responsibilities
  • Supporting the expert witness team on quantum claims
  • Managing small to medium-sized projects or substantial elements of larger commissions
  • Establishing client requirements for cost planning and cost estimating
  • Advising on procurement strategies and commercial approaches
  • Preparing tender and contract documentation
  • Carrying out tender appraisals and providing procurement recommendations
  • Monitoring, recording and reporting project costs
  • Valuing completed works and arranging payments in accordance with contract requirements
  • Preparing budgets, progress reports and cost value reconciliations
  • Identifying commercial risks and assessing cost variations
  • Maintaining variation records and risk registers
  • Issuing notices in accordance with the contract conditions
  • Producing project reports and claims-related reports
  • Preparing and agreeing final accounts
  • Attending and leading project meetings, providing commercial input and advice
  • Keeping up to date with construction industry requirements and market developments
  • Working collaboratively with advisory and expert teams where required
  • Supporting and mentoring less experienced team members where appropriate
