An excellent opportunity for a Senior Quantity Surveyor in Cumbria to join a growing commercial and contract advisory consultancy. This role offers involvement across high-value infrastructure, nuclear and oil and gas projects, hybrid working, strong mentoring and structured support towards further career progression. This is a hybrid working role with typically 3 days project or office-based and 2 days from home.

The successful candidate will support the commercial delivery of major engineering and construction commissions across the UK, typically within the infrastructure, nuclear and oil and gas sectors. Projects are likely to include complex engineering works, utilities, industrial facilities and other high-value construction programmes where robust cost control, contract administration and commercial reporting are essential.

This Senior Quantity Surveyor role will suit a commercially astute candidate with strong pre-contract and post-contract quantity surveying experience on complex engineering and construction projects. The role will involve working closely with project teams and client stakeholders to help deliver successful commercial outcomes and provide more senior commercial support across commissions.

  • Prepare and review tender and contract documents
  • Analyse tender returns and commercial submissions
  • Provide pre-contract and post-contract commercial support across live projects
  • Administer contracts in line with agreed procedures
  • Manage cost forecasting, cost reporting, change control and value management
