About the role
This is a full-time hybrid role in Manchester (two days in the office, three days flexible).
As Head of Talent and People, you will lead the development and delivery of MaxContact’s people and talent strategy. You’ll play a key role in shaping our culture, driving employee engagement, and ensuring our people plans support the business to achieve its vision and strategic goals. This is a permanent, full-time position where you’ll be instrumental in building a high-performing, engaged, and future-ready workforce.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop and strengthen MaxContact’s employer brand, implementing innovative talent attraction and retention strategies.
- Lead organisation design and development initiatives to support business growth and transformation.
- Drive employee engagement through effective internal communications, survey analysis, and targeted initiatives.
- Design and deliver leadership and behavioural skills development programmes, while overseeing succession and talent planning with senior leaders.
- Oversee the end-to-end recruitment, onboarding and induction process, providing guidance to Hiring Managers and managing activity against budget.
- Enhance performance management frameworks, and introduce reward and recognition practices that motivate and retain employees.
- Manage compensation and benefits, including salary benchmarking, annual reviews, and overall benefits design.
- Provide trusted coaching and advice to directors, managers and employees across the full employee lifecycle.
- Partner with the leadership team to shape and deliver People and Talent plans aligned with business objectives.
- Ensure people policies and practices comply with employment law, industry standards, and ISO requirements, while remaining practical and commercially aligned.
- Own and evolve the HR system, ensuring accuracy, GDPR compliance, and providing user training as required.
- Advise the CEO and leadership team on emerging workforce and people trends.
- Lead or support ad-hoc projects, collaborating effectively with stakeholders to deliver outcomes within agreed timelines.
Candidate Profile
- CIPD qualified.
- Minimum 5 years’ HR generalist experience across the full employee lifecycle.
- Proven track record in delivering resourcing, engagement, performance management, and learning and development initiatives.
- Strong coaching and leadership development skills, including experience working with senior leaders.
- In-depth knowledge of UK employment law; TUPE experience advantageous.
- Confident with HR systems and data, ideally with experience in sourcing and implementing new HR solutions.
