Are you an experienced Logistics Team Manager, Warehouse Supervisor or Transport Supervisor who leads from the front and knows how to get the best from a busy operational team? Would you enjoy taking ownership of a mobile logistics team, improving performance and helping a growing business strengthen the way it operates?
Our client is an established technology asset management business with customers including a range of public and private sector organisations, where accuracy, security and consistently high service standards are essential.
As a result of strong growth, they are now looking for a practical and commercially aware Logistics Team Lead to manage a small team who work at customer locations throughout the UK. Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will ensure each job is properly planned, completed efficiently and delivered to the agreed customer, security and performance standards.
This is a genuinely hands-on team leadership role. You will be visible within the operation, spend time accompanying teams in the field and develop a thorough understanding of the work they undertake. At the same time, you will need to step back from the day-to-day activity, assess performance and make sound decisions about productivity, resources, service and cost.
Key Responsibilities
· Leading, motivating and developing a team of approximately 12–15 field-based employees.
· Planning and overseeing customer-site activity, ensuring work is completed safely, accurately, on time and in full.
