Overview
Technical Officer – Degree Apprenticeship. An exciting opportunity to join a market-leading provider of radiation protection services as a Degree Apprentice Technical Officer. Based at the Liverpool site, you will gain hands-on experience while completing a fully funded undergraduate degree in Radiation Physics, conducting safety testing and quality control surveys across the UK to support the safe use of ionising radiation and imaging technologies in healthcare and industry.
Salary and benefits: Β£23,324.11 + Fully Funded Degree + Hybrid Working + Company Vehicle + 25 Days Holiday + Pension + Benefits. This range is provided by MaxAd Fixed Fee Recruitment; your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience β talk with your recruiter to learn more.

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct safety and quality control surveys on medical, dental, and industrial equipment using radiation
- Work across various client sites throughout the UK (approx. 15β20 overnight stays per year)
- Support scientific, technical, and administrative functions
- Assist with maintenance and calibration of testing equipment
- Update CPD and training logs to support ongoing development
- Participate in internal and external education and training
Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 96 UCAS Tariff Points, including A-Level Physics or Mathematics (other STEM subjects considered)
- GCSE Grade 4 / Grade C or above in English Language, Mathematics and Science
- Experience or interest in data analysis and problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative attitude
- Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
- Full UK driving licence (or actively learning to drive)
- Able to commute to Liverpool and travel nationally as required
