NHS - Senior Technical Infrastructure Engineer - Up to £350.00 per day (Outside IR35) for 6 months in duration - primarily onsite working.
Senior Technical Infrastructure Engineer required to support an established NHS Trust in Merseyside.
Responsibilities:
- Provide senior escalation and lead resolution of infrastructure issues across M365, Azure and on-prem platforms.
- Own and support M365 services including Exchange Online and Teams (mail flow, permissions, policy, meeting and service issues).
- Entra ID knowledge including access control, conditional access, and identity troubleshooting.
- Lead investigation and resolution of problems and incidents, including root cause analysis and permanent fixes.
- Build and maintain virtual infrastructure (VMware/Windows Server).
- Drive automation and standardisation using PowerShell and best practice configurations.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical standards, documentation and service improvement.
Knowledge of the following systems required:
- VMware (design, build and troubleshooting).
- Strong VM/Server Infrastructure experience.
- M365 (Senior Administration).
- Azure/Entra ID.
- Active Directory including Group Policy.
- Exchange Online (mail flow, security, permissions).
