Overview
Scrub ODPs and Scrub Nurses Bank / Temporary Shifts Available. Are you looking for a flexible career opportunity within the NHS? Don’t miss this chance to join our team of ODPs and Nurses at Northampton General Hospital on a bank or temporary basis, working in a dynamic and fast-paced theatre environment. This is a temporary staffing role to cover rota gaps in our main theatres.
Responsibilities
- As part of our team, you will help deliver the highest standard of evidence-based perioperative care, contributing to excellent patient experiences and outcomes.
- You will work closely with the theatre team to ensure all surgeons and anaesthetists requirements are ready each day, and assist in theatre to ensure patients have everything they need during the peri-operative and post-operative phases of care.
- On a bank basis, you will deliver safe, high-quality care, taking responsibility for supporting effective theatre procedures.
- Bank staff also have the chance to work across different theatre areas within the Trust once competencies are met, providing variety, professional development, and enhanced experience.
About the role and opportunities
We offer opportunities to develop skills across a range of Trauma and Orthopaedic procedures. The hospital has 6 theatre complexes with 18 theatres, and bank staff may also support other areas across the Trust to help meet service needs. This role offers flexible hours, including nights and weekends, with the freedom to choose shifts that suit your lifestyle.
