Machine Operator - Gluing

Our core values are; * Provide exceptional customer service * Quality is key to our customer’s success * Support the communities and local businesses we serve * Develop environmentally sustainable solutions Machine Operator – Gluing – ABOUT THE ROLE The role holder will play a safe and active part in the Manufacturing process, being responsible to ensure all products presented are of the best quality, rejecting unsuitable products, whilst safely maintaining minimum downtime in order to ensure all products are made to their designated specifications, to achieve current safety, output, and quality targets. Machine Operator – Gluing – ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Start of shift daily safety checks completed and any issues or defects reported immediately to the Production Team Leader. * Make Ready and run the folding & gluing. * Rectify all stoppages/malfunctions asking for assistance when needed. * Carry out quality check on raw material, semi-finished products and finished products and complete appropriate paperwork. * Machine maintenance. * Achieve daily, monthly and annual targets towards individual and department KPI’s * Ensure safety systems are working correctly where applicable. * Ensure the area that you are working in is clean & tidy at all times. * Undertake any relevant training as requested. NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES * Could be asked to support other parts of the operations. Machine Operator – Gluing – JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES * Minimum of 2 years: Experience of gluing folding cartons in previous role。 * Can be relied upon to work on their own or in a team. * Motivated with a positive helpful attitude * Good communication skills, tenacity and exceptional attention to detail * Experience in packaging manufacturing/food industry is desirable. * Strong work ethic, with a positive, passionate attitude and ability to take responsibility * Desire to succeed Good listener with the ability to quickly understand * Team player with ability to also work on own initiative * Awareness and knowledge of Health and Safety Machine Operator – Gluing – WHAT YOU WILL GET · Competitive salary depending on experience · 40 hours per week with regular overtime available · Overtime paid upto 1.5 x of your normal rate depending on the accrued hours of overtime · On-the-job training will be provided · Free onsite parking · Clean working environment · Career Progression Opportunities
