We have a fabulous opportunity for an experienced and ambitious full time junior litigator to join our growing team, working with an experienced commercial litigation solicitor in our Dispute Resolution department and benefitting from paralegal and secretarial support. The work will include a varied and interesting mix of debt collection/contract claims, adverse possession, property disputes, contentious probate and general commercial litigation.

You will already be able to conduct your own straightforward matters with appropriate supervision and support. You will also support and have the benefit of learning from the senior litigator in more complex matters and aspire to work towards conducting more complex matters yourself in due course.

We are looking for candidates who can show an enthusiastic and committed approach to their career development and learning on the job, who will be seeking to enhance their experience and progress. You will ideally have at least around 2 years’ experience in litigation work or similar, and may be wishing to take the next step in your career. Assistance with the SQE may be available for the right candidate if necessary.

The ideal candidate will be ambitious, friendly and proactive, and will actively look for ways to contribute without waiting to be asked. A willingness to learn and progress in due course is essential; we are looking for long term colleagues who wish to work in a supportive and friendly environment.

Candidates must live within a reasonable commuting distance of Northampton as this is an office-based position. In return, we will offer you a competitive salary (negotiable depending on qualifications and experience, between £30,000 - £40,000) with genuine prospects and support for career progression for the right candidate.

A list of available staff benefits is available on our website. We are a well-established traditional firm, with a supportive friendly team and a strong emphasis on work life balance. We do not believe that one size fits all; we are flexible and focused on your career development and hope you are too, and we will offer bespoke training and development to help you develop your full potential.
