Maverick Associates are recruiting for an experienced Party Chief on a full time, permanent basis to join the world's largest independent offshore and onshore survey providers. The successful Party Chief is the senior onboard representative and must ensure that all work is conducted in the best interests of our client. You will thoroughly understand work specifications, project requirements and client objectives, and is responsible for the safe, efficient, and timely execution of, as well as Quality Assurance for the project.
Essential requirements and experiences for the Party Chief role:
- Extensive Offshore Survey experience handling either of these types of work: Construction Support, Pipelay, LBL, IRM, Wind Farm
- Minimum bachelor’s degree holder in the field Survey/Geodetics/Geomatics
- Familiar with NaviPac Online Software (Preferred)
- Experience in Deep Water Construction Survey and LBL Operations (Preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for daily communications with internal and external stakeholders
- Extensive report writing experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience of people management for teams of 4 or more
Education Requirements:
Education in Geomatics, Surveying Science. Relevant industry experience or military/academic experience in survey related discipline, including relevant management experience.
Duties/Responsibilities (but not limited to):
- Supervise survey operations ensuring safe working practices at all times and with due regard to contractual requirements, scope of work, procedures and regulations
- Manage mobilisation and demobilisation activities with regard to safety of personnel and assets
- Ensure all systems are functioning in compliance with contractual requirements, project procedures and company procedures to effectively conduct the scope of work
- Ensure collection, collation, QC and distribution of all survey data relating to the scope of work as per project procedures and company procedures.
- Advise onshore management, company and client representatives when deviation from the approved procedure is necessary and record through the Management of Change Procedure
- Compile operational / field reporting in a concise manner and in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures
- Complete final reporting and data transfer / backup in accordance with project procedures, client specifications and company procedures
- Effectively communicate with client representatives and company representatives onshore
- Ensure all personnel in the offshore team understand their roles and responsibilities
- Conduct personnel performance reviews/appraisals for your direct reports and provide specific performance data/feedback to supervisors of non-direct reports assigned to your projects
- Perform other duties or tasks as assigned
Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel is essential. Ability to perform tasks and achieve results with a high degree of accuracy and precision. Ability to work both independently and within teams. Must hold a valid passport free from status or restrictive conditions that preclude travel to and work in countries where the Company routinely operates.
