Maven is a market-leading proprietary trading firm deploying its own capital across discretionary, systematic, and market-making strategies. Backed by deep expertise in trading, technology, and research, we are relentlessly focused on improving liquidity across global listed derivatives. Through advanced execution and pricing technologies, we improve how financial markets operate.

We are hiring for an exciting new FP&A Analyst role to join the Commercial Finance team in Maven Securities. Commercial Finance sits at the centre of management reporting, presenting financial results to senior stakeholders and providing insight to support decision making.

This role will initially focus on management reporting, variance analysis, forecasting, and cost allocation support. You’ll further have the opportunities to work with stakeholders across the business to ensure timely, accurate reporting and will contribute to projects that improve data quality and automate finance processes.

We are looking for someone who is tech and data oriented, curious to learn different tech tools, and has strong attention to detail, with the confidence to work cross-functionally and take ownership of deliverables.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Management reporting
    • Update and maintain management reporting packs (KPIs, commentary), ensuring consistency of definitions and strong controls.
    • Produce monthly reporting on actuals vs budget/forecast, including MoM variances, key drivers and actionable insights.
    • Prepare clear commentary on movements, risks, and opportunities for finance and other stakeholders.
    • Opportunities to build AI supported tools to surface anomalies/outliers and suggest driver hypotheses, standardise commentary structure to improve consistency.
  • Time reporting & cost allocation support
    • Coordinate the time reporting process: collect inputs from multiple departments, validate completeness/accuracy and consolidate results.
    • Prepare time-reporting outputs that feed cost allocation processes, ensuring deadlines and data quality are met.
    • Opportunities to automate routine data checks and create exception-based follow-ups, develop automated reconciliations and variance flags to highlight allocation-impacting changes, with documented review steps.
  • Forecasting & planning
    • Support and continuously update the operating expenses forecast (e.g., data costs, infrastructure costs, legal and professional costs, etc.)
    • Maintain assumptions, phasing, and cost drivers; coordinate inputs with budget owners.
    • Create structured assumption logs to summarise changes, risks, and open items from stakeholder updates/emails/notes.
What You Will Need:
  • Required
    • 2-3 years of experience in finance (FP&A, commercial finance, accounting, audit) with strong analytical work.
    • Strong Excel skills (e.g. PowerQuery, complex formula); highly analytical and comfortable working with large datasets and tight deadlines.
    • Understanding of forecasting, variance analysis, and basic cost concepts (accruals, allocations).
    • Strong attention to detail and clear communication; able to work cross-functionally and “chase” inputs constructively.
  • Nice to have
    • BI/reporting exposure (Power BI/Tableau) and automation mindset.
    • SQL and/or Python experience (or strong curiosity and evidence of learning).
What We Can Offer You:
  • Competitive compensation package
  • Annual discretionary bonus
  • Enhanced annual leave allowance after 2+ years’ service
  • 25 days’ annual leave (plus public holidays)
  • Fully catered breakfast, lunch, and snacks prepared by an in-house chef
  • Private healthcare and life assurance
  • On-site private gym with instructor-led classes including boxing, yoga, and more
  • Monthly company events and social activities
