- Excellent starting salary at £39,500 pa
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
- Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week)
- Barnsley based when working on-site

What does the Disability Assessor role involve?
The Functional Assessor role will involve carrying out 3 client assessments per day. A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their daily life. You'll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report that helps the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. The DWP makes the final decision, so your role is to gather information and produce the report.
What we look for
- An NMC registered nurse (RGN, RMN or RNLD) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist, Paramedic or Occupational Therapist with 1 year or more broad post‑registration experience
- Someone who is proactive and keen to learn
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Competent IT and computer skills
- Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
