Our Core Infrastructure team is a diverse group of technologists, who focus on continuously improving the end-to-end resiliency, scalability, visibility, usability, and supportability of Maven's technology systems.

The End User Support team is responsible for the user experience at Maven, managing technology and facilities to help our users achieve greater productivity.

To achieve these goals, the team owns responsibility for the office and desktop environment, video conferencing systems, telephony, and more.

The End User Support Engineer ensures that Maven’s employees have everything they need to be successful and productive on their desk and at their fingertips.

You will take the lead on building efficient desk configurations, moving employees, setting up new desktops, and helping people get the most out of Maven’s technology tools.

This position forms the first line of support for IT problems and requests, coordinating with the other members of the Core Infrastructure and development teams as necessary to resolve end users requests and keep our employees productive.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the installation and configuration of desktop computing solutions.
  • Lead the rollout of Ubuntu-managed devices, including building out management, patching, and policy from the ground up.
  • Application Management including configuration and version control.
  • Provide Escalation level support.
  • Facilitate technology setups for new employees and role changes.
  • Maintain AV and video conferencing technology throughout the office.
  • Follow and update procedural documentation e. g. Linux deployment, user onboarding.
  • Maintain and update the inventory of office IT equipment.
  • Configure telephones, printers, and other common office technology.
  • Work with external vendors and suppliers as required.
  • Mentor team members.
  • What We’re Looking For
  • Experience supporting Windows and Linux desktop environments.
  • Strong experience with Ubuntu, including a full rollout of managed devices.
  • Familiarity with Ubuntu Landscape for management, patching automation, auditing, and access management.
  • Familiarity with Linux in an Active Directory integrated environment.
  • Knowledge of deployment platforms such as PDQ, SCCM, MDT, Intune.
  • Knowledge of Scripting languages such as Power Shell or Python.
  • Experience with automation tools like Ansible for configuration management and application deployment.
  • Experience with CI/CD tools, particularly Jenkins, for automating build, test, and deployment processes.
  • Proficiency with Git for version control.
  • Experience supporting Microsoft Office productivity software, particularly Excel.
  • Able to multitask and prioritize efficiently.
  • Knowledge of basic networking concepts: DHCP, DNS, cabling standards, etc.
  • Outstanding attention to detail.
  • Desire to learn new skills.
  • Excellent customer support.
  • Experience working with virtual desktops (Omnissa Horizon preferred) is a big plus.
