- Excellent starting salary at £42,000pa
- Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm working hours
- Full time and part time available (3, 4 or 5 days per week available)
- Liverpool based when working on-site
- Annual leave + bank holidays + the ability to buy or sell 10 more days + pension
- Hybrid/home working available
- NMC or HCPC fees paid for and CPD revalidation support provided
£4,000 performance related salary uplift to £46,000pa after 12 months following training and DWP Functional Assessor approval.
What does the WCA Functional Assessor role involve?
The Functional Assessor role will involve you carrying out 5 client assessments per day who are claiming for WCA (Work Capability Assessment). A typical day will see you carry out telephone, video or face-to-face assessments to understand how a person's disability or health condition affects their ability to perform work-related activity. You'll listen to their experiences, ask questions and use your insights to produce a factual report to help the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) determine their eligibility for benefits. That's the good news; the DWP make the final decision, you don't. Your role is to gather information and produce the report.
What we look for;
- An NMC registered nurse (RGN or RMN) or HCPC qualified Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with 1 year's or more broad post-registration experience
- Someone who's proactive and keen to learn
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Competent IT and computer skills
- Comfortable working with a diverse range of conditions, including mental health
