We are seeking a dedicated Risk & Compliance Analyst to join our team in Glasgow. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and assessing potential risks to the firm, managing risk registers, and collaborating with individuals across the business to ensure that controls are maintained. Additionally, the role involves oversight and maintaining the register of key third parties.
Responsibilities:
- Build and manage key stakeholder relationships within the Maven group and with key third parties, establishing a good working rapport and effective buy-in of risk management.
- Collaborate closely with the Compliance team to support reporting on risk information, including developing management information to monitor risks and producing risk reports.
- Maintain and develop risk registers and dashboards.
- Attend quarterly Risk Committee client meetings.
- Maintain Operational Resilience records, including communication with key third parties.
- Incorporate data protection systems and controls into Maven's risk framework and compliance monitoring plan; assist with providing business advice and training.
- Provide risk-related information for third parties conducting due diligence on Maven (investors, advisors, industry commentators).
- Stay informed about emerging risks and regulatory changes to support the business in managing risks effectively.
What you need to succeed:
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a risk management and/or compliance role within the financial services industry, with operational resilience oversight experience preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge and experience of managing and overseeing cyber security risk and controls preferred but not essential.
- Familiarity with risk management or other software systems would be beneficial but not essential.
- Educated to degree level or equivalent industry experience.
- Compliance or relevant industry qualifications desirable but not essential (such as CISI Investment Operations Certificate).
- Strong critical analysis skills.
- Proficiency in Excel.
