Maven Capital Partners are recruiting for a Purchase Ledger to join their Glasgow based finance team. The individual will be responsible for sales, purchase and investment ledgers for Maven group, property and fund accounting entities.

The individual will be responsible for:

  • Processing of supplier invoices correctly and accurately as instructed and in line with approval limits.
  • Dealing with supplier invoice and payment enquiries, responding to suppliers and other day-to-day queries
  • Preparation of supplier payment runs on a weekly and bi-monthly basis to approvals stage.
  • Assisting with investment fee and recharge billing including updating customer records and handling customer queries.
  • Setting up investment fund transfers, ensuring paperwork is in order and relevant payment authorisations have been obtained.
  • Assisting with setting up new accounts by completing any associated paperwork to onboard the account.
  • Posting bank transactions on to the relevant Sage accounts.
  • Daily/weekly Sage bank reconciliations.
  • Asset reconciliations between sage ledger, investment platform and supporting share / loan certificates.
  • Administrative tasks to support the wider Purchase Ledger, Sales Ledger and Credit Control activities.
  • Various ad hoc initiatives and directed by the senior finance team.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous sales and purchase ledger experience would be beneficial
  • They must be able to demonstrate attention to detail, good judgement showing logical decision making, and a hands-on approach.
  • Excellent time management and adherence to deadlines.
  • Ability to work well in a team, but also to use your own initiative.
  • Strong administration and organisational skills.
  • Experience of using SAGE accounting package would be beneficial
