Salary: UK: £30,816 - £34,201 per annum (Grade 4). For countries not listed above, salary will be aligned to the successful candidate's location and local market conditions.

The Main Purpose of Your Role: The Business Development and Sales Executive will be responsible for winning new business through a combination of proactive outbound sales activity (80%) and effective conversion of inbound leads (20%). This is a 360 new client acquisition role focused on identifying, engaging, qualifying, and converting prospective clients globally. Success is measured by new client acquisition, win rate, and revenue generation. The role requires high-velocity outbound prospecting, strong consultative selling skills, and the ability to convert marketing-generated and organic inbound enquiries into long-term clients. Due to the global nature of the role, flexibility to work across time zones may be required.

What Will You Be Doing as the Business Development and Sales Executive?

  • Sales Processes: Follow defined outbound and inbound-sales processes to ensure consistency and accuracy.
  • Sales Targets: Accountable for achieving a personal sales target.
  • Sales Activity: Outbound Business Development (80%): Research, identify and target prospective clients aligned with company strategy. Engage new referral partners as a means to generate leads and revenue. Conduct outbound calls, emails, LinkedIn/social media outreach and other prospecting activities. Qualify opportunities and manage prospects through the full sales cycle. Develop and maintain a robust, healthy pipeline of new business opportunities. Generate meetings through proactive outreach and networking. Participate in bids and tenders generated via outbound activity or strategic targeting. Represent the company at international events, trade shows and networking opportunities.
  • Inbound Lead Conversion (20%): Respond promptly to inbound enquiries generated through website, marketing campaigns, events and referrals. Qualify inbound leads and match solutions to client requirements using a consultative approach. Close sales using the company three-step sales process. Ensure a smooth handover to Client Management following signed proposals/service agreements. Provide structured feedback to marketing on lead quality and campaign performance. Ensure a smooth handover to the Commercial Operations and Onboarding Coordinator once the service proposal and service agreement (if applicable) is signed. Develop and maintain a pipeline of prospective clients.
  • Bids and Tenders: Responsible for partaking in bids and tenders generated directly or received through inbound channels, as directed by the Global Inbound Sales Lead.
  • Events: Represent the company at domestic and international events, trade shows and online forums as required to promote our products and services. This may include speaking opportunities. Identify and attend local networking opportunities.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with key prospects and stakeholders.
  • Reporting: Track and report on all inbound lead activities and results using Salesforce, our CRM software. Responsible for ensuring Salesforce accuracy on all deals and using reports to ensure a healthy sales pipeline is maintained and forecast accuracy.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with the Commercial Operations and Onboarding Coordinator to ensure a seamless handover of successfully converted new client business. Provide structured feedback to the marketing team, via the Global Inbound Sales Lead, on customer interactions and brand perception.
  • Budget Management: Responsible for ensuring any individual expense costs are provided to the Global Inbound Sales Lead for approval and tracking purposes.
  • Market Analysis: Stay up to date with any relevant industry trends, competitive landscape, and market conditions to identify new opportunities.

Requirements:

  • Qualifications: Essential: Degree educated or 3 years' experience in a global services sale. Desirable: Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, or a related field.
  • Knowledge & Experience: Essential: At least 3 years' experience in global sales. Experience working for a global organisation. Demonstrable experience in B2B new business sales. Experience generating new business through outbound sales tactics. Experience converting inbound leads into closed business. Experience working with CRM systems such as Salesforce and Sage People. At least 3 years' demonstrable experience of working in a sales environment or allied service such as business development, client services, or products. Desirable: At least 3 years' experience in a Global Mobility or EoR sector/industry. Experience working with partnerships/referrals.
