To strengthen our presence in the United Kingdom, we are now looking for a motivated and technically minded Sales Engineer to join our team. As Sales Engineer for the UK market, you will be responsible for developing and managing customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and providing technical and commercial support throughout the sales process. You will act as the key link between customers and Maurer’s engineering and production teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and grow Maurer’s customer base in the UK & Ireland
  • Monitor market trends and competitor activity
  • Visit national and local highway authorities and councils throughout the UK & ROI, including carrying out presentations on Maurer products
  • Visit railway authorities
  • Visit designers of infrastructure and buildings
  • Visit and exhibit at relevant exhibitions in the UK, approx. 2 - 3 per year
  • Interface between customers and MAURER Germany
  • Report directly to MAURER Germany
  • Independently arrange travelling within UK/IR depending on the project priorities
  • Monthly sales/customer visit report required

Requirements:

  • Technical background necessary, preferably degree level qualification
  • Prior experience in sales beneficial
  • Basic IT skills required
  • Must have a Valid UK drivers licence
  • Must be proficient in English

Additional Information:

  • Company car will be provided
  • Competitive fixed salary plus commission on sales to be agreed upon
  • Initial training of 3 to 4 days at MAURER HQ in Munich. Time schedule to be discussed in advance
  • Work from home. 3 days per month at headquarter in Munich
