We are seeking applicants to join our growing Patents group in our London office.

We are keen to hear from candidates with a background in Electronic Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics.

Whether you are a Trainee or a Newly Qualified Patent Attorney currently in private practice or working in-house, you’ve built a solid foundation – and now you’re ready to take the next step. If you are seeking a new challenge that will genuinely stretch your expertise and open fresh opportunities, we’d like to hear from you.

You will work with interesting and experienced Partners and colleagues, working with the best and providing the highest quality of service to our impressive client base.

About you

The right candidate will be a self-starter who likes working as part of a team. You will possess excellent verbal and written communication skills in order to work effectively with our national and international client base; you will have strong time management and organisational skills; and will be able to demonstrate dedication to providing excellence to our clients. You will be a good listener and able to take on board and act on feedback. As Maucher Jenkins is a global firm, we are also keen to hear from candidates with Mandarin language skills, however this is not essential.

We have offices in London, Farnham, Freiburg, Munich and Beijing. We advise on all aspects of intellectual property in the legal systems in which we operate. Our patents team files and prosecutes patent applications for large international corporations as well as a range of domestic clients and start-ups. We carry out patent portfolio and freedom-to-operate reviews, along with validity and infringement analysis, litigation and litigation support.
