An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Firm’s thriving business support team for a Patent Records & Formalities Officer (EP Grant). This is an excellent prospect for an enthusiastic candidate looking to continue their career in intellectual property.
Key responsibilities:
- Management of team prompts and deadlines
- Dealing with incoming post or other mail items, updating records system
- Updating records system to reflect filings and outgoing correspondence
- EPO filings: Responses to 71(3) communications, Unitary Patent requests
- Corresponding directly with clients and foreign attorneys
- Dealing with ad hoc/miscellaneous requests
- Covering for colleagues
About you:
This is an ideal opportunity for an individual who already holds EP Grant experience (ideally 2+ years) within the Patent Records & Formalities profession. The right candidate will have a strong eye for detail; they will have excellent organisational skills, be able to handle high volumes of work whilst managing deadlines, along with the capability to work in a team. The candidate will also have strong communication and interpersonal skills to complete work effectively and efficiently within the team. The right candidate will have worked with Inprotech and will be proficient in MS Office: Word, Excel and Outlook. German and/or French language skills are an advantage but not essential. The CIPA patent administrator’s qualification is desirable but not essential. Appropriate training will be provided.
