I am now supporting them with the appointment of a senior Audit RI to lead a £2m audit function and play a key role in shaping the direction of the wider business. Audit RI – Role Summary
Our client is a UK-wide accountancy practice backed by private equity with a turnover exceeding £20m. They are seeking an experienced leader to take responsibility for a £2m audit function and support the next phase of growth. With strong national reach, a clear expansion plan and a supportive leadership team, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants influence and a long-term career path.
The role will suit candidates who already hold RI status or are ready for the next step. You will work closely with the senior leadership team, drive audit quality and support both UK and offshore resources. The position is fully remote with occasional visits to Milton Keynes and London.

Key Responsibilities
- Act as RI for statutory audits, ensuring compliance and high-quality delivery
- Lead and review audit engagements across a £2m audit portfolio
- Work closely with the Audit Manager in Milton Keynes on planning, workflow and client management
- Mentor and guide both UK and offshore audit teams
- Support process improvements and contribute to practice growth
Skills and Experience Required
- ACA or ACCA qualified and approved to act as an RI (or clearly ready to step up)
- Strong technical knowledge across UK GAAP, IFRS and ISA
- Proven experience leading audit teams and managing complex portfolios
- Comfortable working with remote and offshore teams
- Prior experience working with an offshore team is helpful but not essential
