This manufacturing company has been established as one of the leading suppliers in its sector, in the United Kingdom and Ireland, for over 35 years. They are looking for a Junior Accounts Assistant to join their team. The role will be based in the office and work closely with the Financial Controller. This vacancy would be perfect for candidates early in their finance career, looking for more experience and studying for an accountancy qualification like AAT. This role can be full time or part time (minimum 30 hours a week).
Assignment Details:
- Sales Ledger work
- Data entry
- Resolve sales invoice queries internally and externally
- Chase aged debt
- Posting and allocating customer payments in Sage, processing customer payments made over the phone
- Credit check new customers
- Monthly/Fortnightly aged debtors reporting
- Check receipts for fuel against invoices received from fuel card company
- Managing any invoice queries that arise and ensuring all issues are resolved
- Petty cash control
- Order stationery and domestic supplies, tea, coffee, paper towel etc.
- Open post
- Support Financial Controller on day-to-day activities
Skills Required:
- Sales ledger experience would be an advantage
- SAGE experience
