This is the 3rd time we have worked with this excellent family-owned and long-established business in the Alcohol industry. They have a head office in London, distilleries, warehousing, blending, and bottling sites in Scotland. Turnover is approx. £70m.
Salary is approx £50-55k negotiable depending on experience. This is a full-time role and reports to the FD. Interviews are already planned for w/c 31 March but we are still accepting applications.
Due to ongoing expansion, they now have a requirement for an important role in the Head Office in London for an Accounting Manager. The successful applicant will work with an established and very experienced team. Please note that this role is office-based in Central London.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing payments, invoices income and receipts and entering data in SAGE 200
- Paying AP invoices
- Tracking bank account balances
- Supervising AR and collection of debts
- Completing VAT
- Verifying the accuracy of accounting records
- Preparing accounting records for audit
- Management Accounts support and prep
- Insurance declarations for export sales (to China and India predominantly)
- Posting nominal ledger journals
- Contributing to IT matters and system development
Skills Required:
- Educated to degree level or holding an AAT qualification. Exceptional candidates, unqualified but experienced, will be considered.
- Strong proficiency in SAGE software and Excel
- Excellent organisational skills with a keen attention to detail
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Flexibility and willingness to help others
