Role Purpose: We are seeking dedicated and reliable Delivery Drivers to join our Operations team. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure that all tasks are completed to schedule and in line with our company's high standards. As a Delivery Driver, you will play a crucial role in delivering excellent service to our customers while maintaining the efficiency and safety of our delivery operations.
These roles comprise working Saturdays on a rota basis and daily shift times will vary between the hours of 7am (start) and 5:30pm (end). Core hours are 40hpw.
Responsibilities
- Vehicle Checks: Perform basic vehicle checks and complete vehicle inspection reports to ensure optimal performance and safety.
- Delivery Duties: Load, transport, and deliver items to clients' homes in a safe and timely manner.
- Order Review: Review orders before and after delivery to confirm completeness and customer satisfaction.
- Customer Service: Provide outstanding customer service by addressing queries and concerns from clients with professionalism and courtesy.
- Route Adherence: Follow assigned routes and time schedules to ensure timely deliveries.
- Legal Compliance: Abide by all transportation laws and maintain a clean driving record.
- Documentation: Complete all necessary delivery documentation accurately.
- Team Liaison: Communicate effectively with the management and customer services team.
- Additional Duties: Undertake any other responsibilities as required by management.
Knowledge and Experience
- Valid driving licence.
- Must be eligible to drive a company vehicle.
- Previous house-to-house delivery experience is advantageous but not essential as training will be provided.
Skills, Attributes & Behaviours
- Strong time management and customer service skills.
- Ability to walk, drive, lift, and carry heavy items for extended periods.
- Capability to work independently or as part of a delivery team.
