Role Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Yard Operative to join our team in Enfield. This is a hands-on, physically demanding role where you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth running of our yard operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for picking loads for the next day, maintaining a tidy and organized yard, and supporting our team in loading/unloading trailers and rigids. There are opportunities to grow within the company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Picking and preparing loads for the following day's projects.
- Loading and unloading trailers and rigid vehicles.
- Performing daily forklift checks to ensure safety and compliance.
- Ensuring the yard and work areas are kept clean, organized, and safe.
- Maintaining scaffolding equipment, including fittings and boards, to ensure everything is in good working condition.
- Assisting with handballing and lifting materials as needed.
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Be a reliable and punctual individual with strong time management skills.
- Possess good communication skills and be comfortable working as part of a team.
- Be physically fit and able to lift and move materials by hand when necessary.
- Be comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions, as this is an outdoor role.
- Have a strong work ethic and a willingness to contribute to a positive working environment.
- MUST have a forklift license.
